Protect what you're building.
Understand what protects it.

Commercial insurance is complicated. My job is to translate the fine print, ask the questions that matter, and help business owners understand their options so they can make informed decisions about protecting what they've built.

An Introduction

The person on the other end of your policy should be someone you actually know.

I'm Randee. I work with the people who build, run, and manage things: business owners, contractors, HOA boards, and property investors. My job is to sit across the table and explain your coverage in plain English, without jargon or hurry, and without selling you anything you don't need.

About Me

Human first.
Insurance second.

I'm originally from Austin, Texas. Before I ever wrote a policy, I spent more than ten years in hotel management. That work is simple to describe and hard to do well: take care of people, notice what they need before they have to ask, and fix problems without making a fuss.

I still work that way. I've built my career in commercial insurance at Hennessey Agency, and a lot of my time goes to the harder files: businesses with complex needs, HOA boards, real estate portfolios, and owners who've been told “we can't write that.” I read the policy line by line, look for gaps, and keep looking for options that fit.

Oregon is home now, and I kept the Texas hospitality. Away from work, I'm usually running, hiking, or camping on a trail somewhere with my dog, Rigel. Time outside keeps me steady, and I bring that steadiness back to my clients.

What I Do

Commercial insurance,
demystified.

Most business owners have policies they've never fully read, and that's not their fault. Here's what these coverages are designed to do, in the language you'd use on a job site.

  1. i.

    General Liability

If someone is hurt, or their property is damaged, and it's tied to your business, general liability may respond to covered claims for bodily injury, property damage, and certain other liabilities, within your policy's terms and limits.

  2. ii.

    Commercial Property

Your building, tools, inventory, and equipment. I help you think through replacement cost and choose limits that reflect what it could realistically take to rebuild or replace them.

  3. iii.

    Workers' Compensation

Designed to help with medical bills and lost wages when an employee is hurt on the job, and to help protect your business when it happens.

  4. iv.

    Commercial Auto

The trucks, vans, and trailers that get your crew to the site. Business use can create coverage issues on a personal auto policy. Depending on who owns the vehicle, who drives it, and how it's used, commercial auto may be the better fit.

  5. v.

    Builder's Risk

Designed for a project while it's under construction: materials, work in progress, and the stretch before it's finished and handed over. What's included depends on the policy.

  6. vi.

    Umbrella & Excess

An extra layer of liability limits above your underlying policies, for a covered claim that's bigger than those limits.

And the paperwork that goes with all of it: certificates, contract requirements, audits, and renewals, handled with you rather than handed to you.

Who I Work With

For the people who
build things.

If you've had trouble finding coverage, or your current policy doesn't feel like the right fit, that's usually where I can help most.

A

Contractors & Trades

General contractors, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, roofers, and the specialty trades. You deal with certificates, additional-insured requests, and contract language every week. I help you keep up with those requirements without losing a day to it.

B

Builders & Developers

From one custom home to a multi-phase project, I help you line up coverage with each stage of the build, so you're not left guessing between groundbreaking and closing.

C

Business Owners

Shops, service companies, family businesses, and growing teams. If you've put your name on something, you deserve to understand how it's protected.

D

HOA Boards & Property Owners

Homeowners associations, landlords, and real estate investors, whether it's one building or a whole portfolio. Board members carry real responsibility, and portfolios have more moving parts than most people expect. I help you see all of it clearly.

04

My Approach

Education first.
Partnership always.

A good policy is one you understand. A good agent is one who's still around when you need them. Here's how I work with every client.

  1. 01

    Listen

We start with your business, not a quote form: how you work, what you're worried about, and where you're headed.

  2. 02

    Translate

I walk you through your options in plain language: what each coverage does, what it doesn't, and what it costs.

  3. 03

    Find the gaps

We look at what's missing, what overlaps, and what your contracts require, before a claim finds it for you.

  4. 04

    Stay close

As your business grows, your coverage should keep up. I check in, review renewals with you, and pick up the phone.

You don't have to become an insurance expert. You just need someone who will explain it straight.

Where I Practice

My name on the conversation.
Hennessey's strength behind the policy.

I'm a Commercial Account Executive with Hennessey Agency, LLC in Corvallis, and it's where I've built my commercial insurance practice. The agency gives my clients experienced service support and the stability of an established local agency.

What it doesn't change is who you work with. When you call, you get me: the same person who learned your business, walked you through your coverage, and will be there at renewal.
